Paula has 25 years’ experience in management and operations and is passionate about customer service. Paula loves to capture, and frame people’s lives which she feels is the most important part of their existence. She loves spending time with their 3 amazing children and 2 grandchildren and has a passion for helping others and living life to the fullest.

Joel Prvinic

Head Framer and Training Manager

Joel is a certified Framer of 27 years, starting in framing as soon as he left high school. He specialises in Football Jerseys and Museum Framing. Joel enjoys playing football, listening to Millencolin, and driving GT fours. He lives on the Sunny Coast and loves spending time with his wife Jane and his 3 boys and 2 pug dogs.

Mirela has been in the framing industry for two years. Her qualifications in engineering and fine arts allow her to envision and propose innovative and achievable framing concepts that enhance the artworks and suit the customer’s requests and budgets. Mirela is always excited to be part of the framing process no matter how big or small, two dimensional or tridimensional, old, or new, from the initial consultation to the final reveal. Her passion for contemporary art, processes, techniques, and materials motivates her to remain creative and to produce her own art works.

Mark has been framing for 16 years, and loves framing unusual things, memorabilia items with a great story. Mark is new to Australia (2 ½ years) and has dual citizenship with the USA. Mark is all about his wife, his 3 kids, his dog and cat and the New York Yankees! Mark loves to bowl (been bowling for 46 years), go to the beach, play disc golf, drink craft beer and listen to music. His favourites include BallyHoo, Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews Band and Kenny Chesney.

Jo Burt

Graphic Design and Print Manager

Jo has worked as a professional Designer since 1998 in Australia and the United Kingdom servicing local, national, and global companies. She has a well-balanced creative and technical expertise in print and digital media. She is experienced in art direction, advertising and marketing. Using these skills, Jo advises clients on their digital images and manages our print production. She enjoys working with clients whether it be restoring old family photos or creating new pieces by manipulating photos and graphics. In her spare time Jo enjoys creating fine art, mostly painting in oils on canvas or traditional Japanese Ink art.

Oscar started working in the framing industry in 1986 in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. Oscar has 33 years of framing experience. He like choosing the framing materials required for each job and enjoys working with canvas and all types of framing. He is a perfectionist and always endeavour to deliver a high-quality finish for his customers. His hobbies include music and cinema. One of his biggest interests has always been radio because he used to work in the radio industry prior to working in the framing industry. He also enjoys meditating, walking, being in nature and cooking.

Kathy Hill

Joining the team at Sunshine Coast art and framing Gallery in December 2020, Kathy operated her own photography, editing and framing business in the Sunshine Coast’s hinterland for 18 years prior to that. Enjoying university later in life than most, Kathy completed a Bachelor of Arts at USC including Graphic design, Language and Geographical Studies. Her earlier professional life involved boating and diving and working with marine life in various roles and locations. Kathy loves the creative process of framing from the initial consultation and is passionate about seeing artwork and family memories preserved and on display. In such a digital age, it is too easy to leave photos languishing on computers or phones, but many are lost this way and it is so much nicer to celebrate these moments and have them professionally framed so as to enjoy and admire these moments, and scenes, for years to come. Kathy enjoys camping and is passionate about photographing our wonderful landscapes and wildlife.

Te Otimi started working in the framing industry in 2018 and is studying Engineering at University. His passion is creating gallery walls, canvas stretching and creating country style framing using multiple frames and mats. Te Otimi is happiest on a farm and loves spending time with his wife, two beautiful children and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Born in the north west of England I Studied film-making in Manchester, before my travels brought me to Australia 9 years ago. An occasional artist, I have a passionate interest in all visual media from fine art to sculpture. I have been working in the framing industry for 5 years and I love the transformational power that great framing can have. I have been lucky enough to create custom canvases for some inspiring artists from all over the country and work on large production framing for several exhibitions.

Francisco started in the picture framing industry in Melbourne in 1999, working as a framer for 6 years. He then worked in Signmaking and other art related jobs gaining more skills. Moving to the Sunshine Coast with his wife and son in 2020 has been a dream for the family. He finds working framing for Sunshine Coast Art and Framing Gallery very rewarding.

Tracy was absolutely delighted to commence an apprenticeship with the very experienced, international team at the gallery. It turned out to be better than expected and she loves the creative aspect of custom framing…. so much to learn. Prior to this, she ran her own photography business specialising in real estate incorporating drone aerial photography. Tracy spent 14 years living in France working on private yachts and travelling extensively. It is here that her passion for photography grew with the ever-changing scenery, both natural and architectural. In her spare time, she volunteers at Mooloolaba surf club as a radio operator, enjoys coffee with friends, walks on the beach and landscape photography.

Ayesha brings her creative flair to the team for framing consultation and art advice. She is a Multi National award winning face and body artist, certified in art therapies.

Hayley Dobbie

From the minute she joined our team, late 2021, Hayley enriched our creative space with her extensive customer service skills, creative and artistic approach to framing as well as her youth and enthusiasm. Hayley is currently studying a Bachelor of Creative Industries majoring in graphic design. Alongside her studies she is also freelancing creating designs, illustrations and photography for several local businesses. She brings a creative flare to our framing team and has a great knowledge in art products, as a watercolourist herself. Hayley explores other mediums such as acrylic, charcoal, oil, pottery and she also sews, crochets and makes jewellery.

Fabio has over 30 years experience working as a professional designer for local and national companies. Since completing a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication he has gathered skills in all facets of graphic design with strengths in designing for print advertising. Along with a passion for design and creativity, Fabio also enjoys travel, particularly being immersed in new cultures and experiences, loves music and enjoys playing guitar, bicycling and spending time with his partner here on the Sunshine Coast.

Amie commenced framing in 2011 with an apprenticeship. She travelled extensively before settling in Canada for some time at a framing business in Vancouver. The event of Covid saw her return to Australia where she continued travelling domestically before returning to the Sunshine Coast to take on the role of Head Framer at our Noosa store in March 2022. Amie is passionate about conservation framing and preservation of items and artworks. In her spare time Amie enjoys to hike and surf and loves nature and travelling.

Having discovered a love for woodworking, I have found picture framing satisfies my desire for building and creating. Everyday is a new day where I learn new skills that compliments peoples artwork and treasured memories through framing. Outside of woodworking, I enjoy going to the beach with my girlfriend, playing with my dog, sipping whisky by the fire, mountain top views and glorious sunrises.

Courtney began refurbishing frames from thrift stores in 2017 and took some time to realise it was her passion. In early 2022 she moved from NSW to join our team. Courtney has been in the art industry since 2013, working with many renowned artists, and supported herself by cobbling, before realising that framing could utilise her technical skills and knowledge from both industries. She loves looking at each new project to find creative solutions to preserve and present peoples cherished pieces.

I immigrated to the beautiful Sunny Coast in 2009 with my husband and 3 small children from Southampton, UK. I have enjoyed supporting my own children and many other children as a volunteer for the past 10 years. I held the role of co-ordinator for P&C Mother’s/Father’s Day Stalls and loved helping out in the classrooms. I re-entered the workforce in 2022 with a background in customer service, hospitality and tourism, which I gained from working as a Stewardess on a fleet of High Speed passenger ferries. I spend my spare time at the gym, catching up with friends for coffee and feeding hungry teenage boys! I hold a UK 3D Art and Design certificate and am a qualified hairdresser.
