Paula has 25 years’ experience in management and operations and is passionate about customer service. Paula loves to capture, and frame people’s lives which she feels is the most important part of their existence. She loves spending time with their 3 amazing children and 2 grandchildren and has a passion for helping others and living life to the fullest.
Joel PrvinicHead Framer and Training Manager
Joel is a certified Framer of 27 years, starting in framing as soon as he left high school. He specialises in Football Jerseys and Museum Framing. Joel enjoys playing football, listening to Millencolin, and driving GT fours. He lives on the Sunny Coast and loves spending time with his wife Jane and his 3 boys and 2 pug dogs.
Jo BurtGraphic Design
Jo has worked as a professional Designer since 1998 in Australia and the United Kingdom servicing local, national, and global companies. She has a well-balanced creative and technical expertise in print and digital media. She is experienced in art direction, advertising and marketing. Using these skills, Jo advises clients on their digital images and manages our print production. She enjoys working with clients whether it be restoring old family photos or creating new pieces by manipulating photos and graphics. In her spare time Jo enjoys creating fine art, mostly painting in oils on canvas or traditional Japanese Ink art.
Mirela StrezaSales and Framing Concept Supervisor
Mirela has been in the framing industry for two years. Her qualifications in engineering and fine arts allow her to envision and propose innovative and achievable framing concepts that enhance the artworks and suit the customer's requests and budgets. Mirela is always excited to be part of the framing process no matter how big or small, two dimensional or tridimensional, old, or new, from the initial consultation to the final reveal. Her passion for contemporary art, processes, techniques, and materials motivates her to remain creative and to produce her own art works.
Doc (Mark Doctor)Workshop Manager
Mark has been framing for 16 years, and loves framing unusual things, memorabilia items with a great story. Mark is new to Australia (2 ½ years) and has dual citizenship with the USA. Mark is all about his wife, his 3 kids, his dog and cat and the New York Yankees! Mark loves to bowl (been bowling for 46 years), go to the beach, play disc golf, drink craft beer and listen to music. His favourites include BallyHoo, Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews Band and Kenny Chesney.
Casey HewittSales and Framing Concept Consultant, Apprentice Framer
Casey has been in the framing industry for 2 years and is extending her training and knowledge with a framing apprenticeship that she is grateful for. She hopes to make her artistic passion her career. Casey loves working in this space as it connects her with like-minded artists and provides opportunity to connect with people and their artwork/photos they frame. Casey paints with oils, acrylic and watercolours with her passion being realistic oil painting.
Oscar GuerraFramer and Stretcher
Oscar started working in the framing industry in 1986 in Alice Springs, Northern Territory. Oscar has 33 years of framing experience. He like choosing the framing materials required for each job and enjoys working with canvas and all types of framing. He is a perfectionist and always endeavour to deliver a high-quality finish for his customers. His hobbies include music and cinema. One of his biggest interests has always been radio because he used to work in the radio industry prior to working in the framing industry. He also enjoys meditating, walking, being in nature and cooking.
Kathy HillSales and Framing Concept Consultant
While Kathy is a new member of the Sunshine Coast Art and Framing family, she has operated her own photography and framing studio for 18 years in the Sunshine Coast’s beautiful hinterland. Her professional life prior to that consisted of diving, boating and working with marine life. Kathy loves the creation process of framing and is passionate about preserving your memories. In this digital age, it is so easy to just store images but so many are lost this way and it is much nicer when your family pics and artworks are framed beautifully and on your walls.
Te Otimi PataraFramer and Stretcher
Te Otimi started working in the framing industry in 2018 and is studying Engineering at University. His passion is creating gallery walls, canvas stretching and creating country style framing using multiple frames and mats. Te Otimi is happiest on a farm and loves spending time with his wife, two beautiful children and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
Chris BardenFramer and Stretcher
Born in the north west of England I Studied film-making in Manchester, before my travels brought me to Australia 9 years ago. An occasional artist, I have a passionate interest in all visual media from fine art to sculpture. I have been working in the framing industry for 5 years and I love the transformational power that great framing can have. I have been lucky enough to create custom canvases for some inspiring artists from all over the country and work on large production framing for several exhibitions.
Francisco started in the picture framing industry in Melbourne in 1999, working as a framer for 6 years. He then worked in Signmaking and other art related jobs gaining more skills. Moving to the Sunshine Coast with his wife and son in 2020 has been a dream for the family. He finds working framing for Sunshine Coast Art and Framing Gallery very rewarding.
