Meet the Artist

Shelley Harkness is a Sunshine Coast based artist specialising in acrylic landscape paintings. She finds much of her inspiration from the nostalgia and memories evoked by classic beach shacks that inhabit our local areas.

Shelley's distinctive artistic style uses a mixture of controlled and loose brushwork which allows her subject matter to come to life. Many of her pieces feature colour used in unexpected ways, bringing vividity to her landscapes.

"I want people to feel the magic and nostalgia that comes from viewing my artworks and for them to step back to a space and place where memories of beach holidays and simpler living come alive again."
