Our Story
John and Paula Gowland purchased the Caloundra Art and Framing Gallery at its Minyama location in 2018. After modernising its branding, the business was renamed Sunshine Coast Art & Framing Gallery in 2019.Â
As passionate owners, John and Paula had a clear vision to inspire the local Sunshine Coast and Noosa community to share and protect their memories through custom framing and to learn and grow through art and creative workshops.
They created a unique style and culture, then grew the business from a single location service to a thriving, multifaceted business and community-focused hub. Sunshine Coast Art & Framing Gallery now incorporates a Gallery Café, community event space and retail store, with framing services offered in Minyama and Noosa.Â
We currently employ 20 team members, including 8 framers and now has over 80 years of experience in custom framing. The team champions diversity and supports local art culture, and innovates beyond their core business, incorporating love, authenticity and balance to create genuine connections in the community.
