Art has been a part of my life for as long as I remember. I worked in London & Sydney for major packaging companies as a graphic designer.
We moved to the Sunshine Coast and started a family, that’s when I realised with no family here I needed to work for myself. To be perfectly honest I winged it!
I Illustrated several simple children’s books. Hand painted fabrics, I was a colour consultant & stylist and I realised there was a need for affordable original artworks.
Painting & creating is my absolute passion. When I paint I have no concept of time, I'm lost within it... And I love that!
Barry Green
After retiring from New Zealand to Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia – Barry took up watercolour painting in 2002 under the expert eye and guidance of the late Brian Allison.
A background of Architectural Draughting and building provided a natural foundation for this pursuit, however his passion to excel is tested continuously by the intricacies of this difficult medium.
As a regular traveller internationally, as well as throughout Australia, Barry’s paintings cover most subjects, reflecting the dramatic and varied landscapes and lifestyles of many of these countries.
